SPUR RADIO COMPETITION – GENERIC TERMS & CONDITIONS
- The competition is organised by Spur Steak Ranches (“Spur”) in partnership with OFM.
By entering, all participants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. - The competition is open to South African residents only, aged 18 years or older.
Minors may participate only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. - The competition entry period, prize details, and entry mechanic will be announced on-air and/or posted on the station’s digital platforms.
- To enter, participants must follow the instructions as stated on-air, which may include sending a WhatsApp message, voice note, or keyword to the designated competition number.
- Only entries received via the official competition number during the competition period will be considered valid.
- Prizes may include Spur vouchers or additional bonus vouchers awarded for specific qualifying actions (such as downloading the Spur App).
The type, value, and number of prizes may vary per phase of the campaign. - Winners will be selected at the discretion of OFM and/or Spur, either by random draw or based on the quality, creativity, or relevance of their entry, depending on the mechanic communicated.
- Winners will be contacted directly via the phone number used to enter.
If a winner cannot be reached within 48 hours, a new winner may be selected. - Prizes are not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may not be replaced if lost, stolen, or redeemed after expiry.
- The Spur App bonus prize, where applicable, will only be awarded if the winner can demonstrate that the Spur App is downloaded on their device at the time of verification.
- Standard data rates apply when sending WhatsApp messages or voice notes. Spur and OFM are not responsible for connectivity issues, message failures, or technical errors.
- Employees, agents, or immediate family members of Spur, OFM, or their associated agencies may not enter.
- Spur and OFM reserve the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time should unforeseen circumstances arise.
- By entering the competition, participants grant Spur and OFM permission to use their name, voice notes, on-air contributions, or entry content for promotional and marketing purposes, with no additional compensation.
- Personal information collected for the competition will only be used for administering the promotion and compliance with legal obligations, in accordance with POPIA.
- The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
